Diminishing Love

It's a wicked thing

to play with someone's emotions,

to lead them on and make them believe

there could be something more

than what's really there.

You're nothing but a heartless

soulless creature if you do this to someone,

and you'll burn in hell for your deceit.

Conveying the love lightly,

throwing them around without care,

is not what love is about, sweetheart.

If you're not ready to offer it sincerely,

then hold off for a little while longer,

till your heart is truly in the game.

Otherwise, all you'll be doing is playing,

and that's not what love is meant to be.

If you're not ready to offer love sincerely,

then close your heart and keep it hidden.

For if your intent is not honest,

Love cannot grow and will diminish.

Allow your heart to open only if you're willing

To give your love completely and unconditionally.

Otherwise, love will never find its way in,

And your life will be filled with loneliness.

Love begins with a rush,

A sparkling in the eyes,

A feeling that everything is possible.

But slowly love fades away,

Bit by bit, day by day,

As life gets in the way.

And soon enough love is gone,

A faded memory of what once was strong,

Leaving only an empty hole.

The faster you forget and forgive, the happier you'll be

When you're young, you're taught to

never take things to heart,

And that everything will work out in the end.

But as you get older, you learn that it's not that simple,

That some things actually do matter, and they can hurt.

You learn to pick yourself up and dust yourself off,

And to keep going no matter what life throws your way.

Because at the end of the day, all that matters is that you tried;

It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Some things people say just aren't worth

the drama or the heartache it brings

it's best to take it in stride and not get worked up

over things that really don't matter in the long run

learn to pick your battles and save your breath

for the things that are really important to you

try not to let other people's opinion bother you

at the end of the day it's their opinion, not yours

so learn not to take everything to heart.

The little things that bother you today

Won't matter in the grand scheme of things

When words are spoken from someone's mouth,

Often they're aimed to cut you down.

But if you learn not to take everything to heart,

You'll save yourself from feeling the pain.

It doesn't matter if the person is your loved one,

Or if they're just somebody you know;

What they have to say can still hurt like hell,

If you don't learn to protect your heart by shield.

Don't keep those grudges in your heart,

The faster you forget and forgive, the happier you'll be.

It causes nothing but pain and misery,

So forget about the past and start fresh today.

Happiness is just around the corner,

If only you'll let go of your anger.

She deserves every last star

Let her reign as queen of the mountaintop

Look down on all who would dare to challenge

Her might and majesty, unrivaled and supreme

None can withstand her when she sets her sights on conquest

For she is the ruler of this land and all that lies within it

She is the goddess of the earth and the sky

Nature obeys her every wish and whim

And all who dwell beneath her watchful gaze

Live in fear of what she may do next

The waves are her kingdom

The salt water is her domain

She is the ruler of the sea

And all that lives within

No one can stand against her

For she is a force to be reckoned with

Her power is unmatched

And her might is unrivaled

She is a goddess of the sea

And all who cross her path will know her power

The moon is a powerful symbol

Of feminine divinity and mystery

So let her reign supreme

Over our nighttime sky

For she offers us a glimpse

Of the divine feminine

Which is often hidden in our world

But with her soft light

She guides us back to the sacred

And reminds us of our own inner power.
