Living in the illusion

You can have whatever you want

The life you want, the job you want, the house you want

Just think about it and it will be yours

But all of this is an illusion

It's a dream that never ends

You can keep chasing after it, or you can wake up and see that it was all just a dream

Paint your world the way you want it to be

No one will ever know the difference

Just close your eyes and make believe

Things are always better in your favor

The grass is greener, the sky is bluer

No one can tell you what's real or not

Keep living in your dream world

The world we see is just an illusion,

An image that's been created in our minds.

whilst we are living here in this illusion,

We don't realize that it might not be real.

Only when we die, do we realize

That the world we see was nothing more than an illusion.

On the outside we are strong

But on the inside we are weak

We create a facade to avoid the hurt

We don't want to show our weakness

We put on a brave face and act like we are fine

But deep down we are hurting

We don't want anyone to know

So we continue to put on a show

But we can't keep this up forever

someday the facade will crumble

In search of new adventures

Battleground

There's a battle going on in my mind,

Between the thoughts that are kind

And the ones that are unkind.

It's a constant fight,

With each side trying to win,

But I'm never quite sure

Which one will come out on top.

The thoughts that are unkind,

They are the ones that I fear,

For they're the ones that can do the most damage,

But the thoughts that are kind,

They give me hope and they give me strength,

And they remind me that I'm not alone.
